As possibilities in the immersive web such as metaverse expand, so too is Journee expanding its global footprint to better serve global brands and businesses. As part of our expansion, we are excited to announce the appointment of Muhammad Hamza as our New Business Director Dubai. Based in Dubai, Muhammad will drive new business strategy and lead Journee's regional growth in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

Muhammad comes to Journee equipped with extensive experience in Web3 Technologies, Metaverse and Sustainable Blockchain Solutions, having worked with prestigious entities such as Masary Capital, The Emirates & Dnata Group, Wafi Group and Dubai World. He is well placed to support our MENA-based clients with unlocking the potential of the Metaverse, allowing them to capitalize on fresh new avenues to creativity, community-building, and interactive immersive digital commerce (iCommerce).

Dubai set to become a top 10 Metaverse powerhouse

The appointment follows a lot of activity in the region; The Dubai Metaverse Strategy aims to turn Dubai into one of the world’s top 10 Metaverse economies as well as a global hub for the Metaverse community. The strategy aims to build on Dubai’s achievement of attracting more than 1,000 companies in the fields of blockchain and Metaverse, supporting its bold ambitions to offer more than 40,000 virtual jobs by 2030.
